Letter: Reporting not anchored in details

The May 26 story “Woman ends protest aboard ship” contains a lot of interesting information. The best part, I think, is the Coast Guard’s decision to leave her hanging until she wanted to get down. For my part, she should have had to rely on the folks who helped her get up there to get down, but, hey, that’s just me.

The media, print and tube, have reported she is on the anchor chain. The photo clearly shows the chain is fixed to the deck of the craft, which appears to be a barge, not a ship, and the chain is a part of the bridle used to tow the barge.
