Walnut Grove — Furry Friends received $1,812.24 during the Give More 24! day of online donations on Sept. 24, which raised $676,311 in total for local charities. The no-kill shelter will use the money to pay for unexpected, major medical expenses for cats, including painful dental disease, upper respiratory infections and urinary tract infections. Furry Friends aims to provide medical treatment for cats in need in hopes of adopting them out to local families.
