The Clark County Sheriff’s Office asked residents to be on the lookout for a convicted sex offender who has not reported in to corrections officials.

The sheriff’s office said Izak L. Shackelford, 23, is a Level 3 sex offender — meaning he’s been determined as having a high risk to reoffend — and he hasn’t checked in as required.

Shackelford’s GPS tracking device has been disabled, the sheriff’s office said, and he was last observed leaving a restaurant in Hazel Dell without paying. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The sheriff’s office said he’s a transient who frequents the Hazel Dell and Salmon Creek areas. He’s 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. The sheriff’s office also said he’s hearing impaired.

He may be wearing a long black leather coat, blue jeans, black leather boots and long wallet chain on his right hip, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office asked anyone who spots Shackelford to call 911 and not approach him.
