Girls basketball: Union 57, Hockinson 39

A 25-point second quarter gave the visiting Titans control of the game. Three players scored in double figures for Union (2-0). Abby Forsyth scoured 15 points, Courtney Cranston 13 and Sarah Trostle 11.

Hannah Neibauer scored 17 points and Brittany McGuire added 15 for the Hawks in their season opener.

Hockinson coach Eirik Huset said Union played tough defense and outrebounded his team.
