Sheriff: $74K, LSD, mushrooms, amphetamines seized in morning drug bust

Two arrested after warrant service; three small children placed in protective custody

Officers with the regional drug task force arrested two, recovered a large supply of drugs and cash after, and placed three small children in protective custody after searching a home Thursday morning in the Minnehaha neighborhood, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers executed a district court-ordered search warrant 4402 N.E. 60th St. at 9:45 a.m., and there found marijuana, amphetamines, LSD, psychoactive mushrooms and more than $74,000 in cash, the sheriff’s office said.

Michael P. Phelan, 38, and Clarissa L. Curtis, 33, were arrested and booked at the Clark County Jail on suspicion of thee counts of possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver and on one count of maintaining a drug dwelling.

The sheriff’s office said three small children were present at the home at the time officers conducted the search, and they were placed in Child Protective Services’ custody.
