Week 3 fall sports athlete of the week: Kiani Pandoliano, Union soccer

Kiani Pandoliano of Union girls soccer was voted The Columbian’s high school winter sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 26.

Pandoliano collected 38 percent of the 1,455 votes cast by fans to beat out Silas Griffith of Ridgefield boys cross country, who had 27 percent.

Pandoliano had two goals and two assists in two league wins.

The other nominees were Taylor Erickson of Hockinson volleyball, Sruthi Ravi of Mountain View swimming and Brian Humphreys of Camas golf.

Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Monday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Thursday.

Athletes may be elected player of the week once during the regular season, and no athlete can be nominated for the honor in consecutive weeks.
