CAMAS — The Camas-Washougal Community Chest launched its fundraising drive this month, aiming to raising $75,000 to support local nonprofits.
The 2014/2015 fundraising campaign raised $69,375 and funded 15 grants. Agencies that benefited from the grants include Inter-Faith Treasure House, a local food bank, the Camas Public Library’s summer reading program, the Janus Youth Programs and Silver Star Search & Rescue.
To reach its $75,000 goal, the Community Chest seeks donations from individuals and businesses. To donate, visit www.camaswashougalcommunitychest.org. Nonprofits in Camas and Washougal seeking grants can visit the website to download an application.
