Letter: So many debates; who’s still on job?

I’m wondering if there were only three candidates, — Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina — who came on their own time and money to spend time in California so they could debate. Did the ones who supposedly are working for all of us, like being members of Congress, get time off without pay while they were telling everyone how absolutely wonderful they are? Were their tickets all paid for by special ways Congress can travel, close to free? It is just the taxpayer who pays.

Then they get back to Washington, D.C., and right away say they are going to shut down the government. Is that because they have been so busy traveling and taking time off they don’t even count that as their vacation?
