Prep roundup: Union boys golf team captures 4A GSHL title

Ben Gruher shot a 2-under-par 34 at Camas Meadows to lead the Union boys golf team to a 151-168 win over Skyview.
The victory clinched the 4A Greater St. Helens League title for the Titans with one match left.
The Titans hold the tiebreakers over second-place Camas and Skyview.
Hayden Meeker shot a 38 and Max Dobak a 39 for the Titans.
The 4A district tournament is next Monday and Tuesday at Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland.
Stars of the day
• Baylee Wright, Washougal soccer, scored in the 77th minute on an assist from Katie Boon, leading the Panthers to a 1-0 win over R.A. Long.
• Jacob Larson, Columbia River golf, took medalist honors in a win over Kelso, recording a 1-under-par 34. Five of the six River golfers shot in the 30s.
• Brian Humphreys, Camas boys golf, was the meadalist in a win over Evergreen, shooting a 1-under 35 at Green Mountain.
• Kari Staples, King’s Way Volleyball, had 29 kills and two aces in a 3-0 win over Seton Catholic.
• Sarah Kleier, Columbia River soccer, scored two goals, including the winner in a 3-2 win over Prairie. The Chieftains rallied from a 2-1 deficit.
• Judith Nunez, Woodland soccer, scored an unassisted goal and assisted on another in the Beavers’ 3-2 win over Hudson’s Bay.
• Brooke Van Sickle, Battle Ground volleyball, had 22 kills, 2 blocks, 7 assists, 3 aces and 11 digs in a win over Union.
• Aubrey Stanton, Camas volleyball, had 24 assists, two digs, one ace and one kill in a win over Evergreen.
• Kaila Robinson, Skyview volleyball, had 20 kills and 17 digs in a win over Mountain View.
• Page Heller, Columbia River volleyball, had 21 assists, seven digs and four kills in a win over Prairie.
• Kayla Fredericks, Woodland volleyball­, had 12 kills and 11 digs in a win over Hudson’s Bay.
• Maddie Stimmel, La Center ­volleyball, has 14 digs and nine kills in a win over Castle Rock.
• Alex Sanders, Union girls soccer, scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime to beat Evergreen.
