Letter: Support Ross as port commissioner

By
Published:

The port has been a vital part of Vancouver for many years and has always been interested in enriching the city. In 2007, the port participated in Vancouver City Center Vision and has participated in partnerships to grow the city. Terminal 1 will be a continuance of the waterfront park and an exciting waterfront development. The port brings jobs and national-international goods to the city, as well as new ideas.

To continue this visioning and partnering, I support Lisa Ross for District 2 commissioner. Ross is intelligent, capable and understands the need to compete in the world. She will be a team player on the commission with her experience, and will be able to look ahead and make the right decisions while still thinking of safety.

Ross is right for the port.
