Letter: Relieved Obama leaving office

Kudos to Ron Jones for his Oct. 3 letter, “Listing Obama’s ‘accomplishments.‘ ” Jones’ comments on President Obama’s legacy were well thought out and accurate. I may add a few comments of my own concerning recent developments.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has had Obama on the ropes since day one. He knows that Obama is all talk, passive, weak and thinks he can solve the world’s problems by his rhetoric. This president is shallower than a dry creek bed. And now comes the corrupt Hillary Clinton in an attempt to replace Obama as president. This country needs fresh, intelligent leaders with no baggage, who understand international problems and know how to solve them.

The economy, which Obama is crowing about, is driven by the American consumer, who contributes to over 70 percent of the gross national product. And the unemployment rate is also a result of the consumer. Obama has nothing to do with it.

What is so dangerous about Obama is that he actually believes in what he says. Either that, or he is just another con man from Chicago. I cannot wait until he leaves office. Then I hope we have a real president, with integrity, honesty, strength and understands the real world. One who will re-establish America’s leadership and respect in international policy. So, if voters want the same game of lies, cover-ups, and international blunders, etc., then vote another Democrat into the presidency.
