A man was arrested Monday after he allegedly brandished a firearm in a home along East Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver.

Officers were called to a report of a home invasion robbery at an apartment building at 2000 Norris Place just after 1 p.m. Monday.

Vancouver police Sgt. Mike Davis said Monday night that investigators learned Alonzo Williams, 29, was allegedly asked to leave the home of an acquaintance. When he did not, the dispute escalated and Williams of Lemon Grove, Calif., allegedly pulled out a gun and fled the scene.

During a search of the surrounding area, officers and police dogs moved between buildings. Davis said officers eventually caught up with Williams and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree assault and attempting to elude police officers.

“All of the victims appear to be fine,” Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Davis said the gun Williams allegedly wielded was not recovered.
