The Washington State Department of Transportation recently wrapped up a series of paving projects that resurfaced more than 55 miles of highway in the region, the agency announced.
Construction crews paved a combined 15 miles of roadway along stretches of state Highway 501, state Highway 503 and state Highway 14 in Clark County this year. Workers also used chip sealing to resurface about 40 miles of Highway 14 in Skamania and Klickitat counties, according to WSDOT.
As part of the projects, workers also completed new striping and other improvements. The projects cost a combined $12.1 million, according to WSDOT.
