The Battle Ground Tigers volleyball team clinched the 2015 4A Greater St. Helens League title with a four-set victory over Union Thursday night.

Scores were 25-20, 21-25, 25-11, 25-13.

Brooke Van Sickle had 21 kills, 14 assists and eight digs in the victory for Battle Ground.

The district tournament begins Monday.

4A district tennis — Skyview sophomore Andrew Kabacy will get a second shot at a 4A district tennis singles title as he takes on Camas freshman Spencer Kang at 10 a.m. today at Club Green Meadows.

Kabacy, the top seed who lost in last year’s district final, closed out three opponents on Thursday, while Kang, seeded No. 2, easily reached his first district final.

Union sophomores Quinn Lamey and Alex Calpagui upset No. 1 seed Colton Reed and Nick Shiraishi in the doubles semifinal 6-4, 5-7, 7-5. That result creates an all-Union final as No. 2 seed Andrew Chanthavong and Bjorn Morfin advanced with three straight-set victories.
