Time is running out to submit your ballot, and if you’re the average voter who votes only during presidential races, now might be the time to get in touch with local politics.
Ballots must be returned to the Clark County Elections office on or before Tuesday.
Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by that day. Ballots can also be dropped off in person by 8 p.m. at any of Clark County’s three 24-hour drop boxes or the 33 schools and churches opening their doors that day as ballot collection stations.

As of Friday, ballot returns were 16.3 percent, with 40,967 of 251,358 ballots returned. That means there’s a long way to go before the county hits its projected 42 percent turnout, but it is just ahead of the overall state turnout of 16 percent.
