Hazardous chemical waste and other materials will be accepted, including pesticides, paints, solvents, thinners, motor oils, cleaners, block foam, batteries, electronic equipment, old tires without rims, refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units and scrap metal.

The three events are scheduled for:

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 12 at Clark College (Yellow Lot 1), 1900 Fort Vancouver Way.

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at Fisher’s Landing Transit Center, 3510 S.E. 164th Ave.

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 3 at Battle Ground High School, 300 W. Main St. (enter on North Parkway Avenue).

Proof of Clark County residency may be requested, and no business waste will be accepted. Participants are limited to five tires per person per day, and paper for shredding is limited to two banker boxes per visit.
