City seeks volunteers to count trail users

City of Vancouver is seeking volunteers to count visitors to various trails later this month

Clark County — As part of the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project, the city of Vancouver and its partners are seeking help in counting visitors to area trails later this month. The trail count is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15-17, and 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 19 and 20, with two-hour volunteer shifts available. The city needs volunteers for Frenchman’s Bar and Vancouver Lake Trail at the Blurock Landing trailhead, Burnt Bridge Creek Trail at the Northeast Devine Road trailhead, Salmon Creek Greenway Trail at the Vancouver Girls Softball Association trailhead and Lacamas Trail at the Northeast Goodwin Road trailhead. A training session is scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St. in Vancouver.
