Two people were injured Saturday in a motorcycle crash east of Washougal on state Highway 14, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A WSP bulletin said Charles M. Johnson, 66, was riding a 2003 Harley Davidson west on the highway at Belle Center Road in Skamania County at 1:56 p.m. when he lost control while slowing for a vehicle making a left turn and laid the motorcycle down on the shoulder.

Johnson and his passenger, Linda M. Jarvis, 69, of Camas, were both injured and transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Johnson was reported in satisfactory condition Saturday evening. Jarvis was treated and released.

The bulletin said Johnson was cited for driving a motorcycle without the proper endorsement.
