UPDATE: The case against Crystelle Rodwick appears to have been exonerated in Clark County Superior Court, according to the county clerk’s office.

A Vancouver woman suspected of running an unlicensed massage practice from home made a first appearance Wednesday in Clark County Superior Court.

Crystelle Silverwind Rodwick, 20, is facing allegations of practicing massage without a license and operating a business without a home occupancy permit.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Vancouver Police responded Tuesday to condominiums at 13600 N.E. 18th St. to conduct an undercover operation related to an unlicensed massage practice. Police had learned that Rodwick had previously been caught running the business by the Washington State Health Department in April, court documents said. She had been ordered to stop and to remove online advertisements for the business.

Earlier this month, police discovered Rodwick allegedly was still operating the business and contacted a state health investigator. The investigator said Rodwick did not have a valid license to practice massage. Police also found massage ads online, including an escort site, court records said.

An undercover officer contacted Rodwick by text message and arranged a massage appointment, at which time she was detained, the affidavit said.

At her hearing, Judge Gregory Gonzales granted Rodwick supervised release. She is set to be arraigned Oct. 6.
