A Vancouver man was injured after allegedly causing a crash Tuesday on the Interstate 5 Bridge, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Luis Gonzalez Baltierra, 53, was driving a 1998 Ford F150 pickup south on Interstate 5 at about 9 a.m. when he crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was stopped because of an earlier crash, WSP reported.

Gonzalez Baltierra was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was treated and released Tuesday. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

The crash blocked the right and center lanes of the bridge for about an hour, and long traffic delays plagued morning commuters.

Gonzalez Baltierra was cited for following too closely, WSP reported.
