Vancouver — Clark County’s first Marshalls retail store is under construction at 7905 N.E. Sixth Ave., in the Hazel Dell Marketplace, and should open later this year.
The 21,500-square-foot store is being built by J.E. John Construction, an affiliate of Marketplace owner C.E. John of Vancouver.
Clark County building permits list the cost of the job as $1.9 million. It’s part of a major expansion and remodeling of the shopping plaza, which also includes a new Sports Authority store and a relocated Wendy’s restaurant.
Marshalls, a unit of TJX Companies, offers “current-season, brand-name and designer goods for men, women, teens and kids at incredible prices everyday,” according to its website. Other TJX brands include T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods.
