Letter: Fish at risk with radiation leakage

Regarding the ongoing radiation leakage at Hanford Nuclear Reservation, does this mean that the Columbia River fisheries are at risk? First they were contaminated with PCBs from the illegal dumping of equipment by the Bonneville Dam, which was reported in 2013, limiting the amount of fish you could safely eat.

People’s memories are short and the fish are still caught and eaten by Native Americans, recreational and commercial fishermen, eagles, osprey, seals, but the fish could still be heavily laced with PCBs. And Portlanders and Vancouverites, you still buy the fish at stores and roadside stands in Cascade Locks, the Dalles, etc., so now we can all enjoy the additional benefits of radiation. Tell Kaiser Permanente or OHSU that you don’t need that chest X-ray or MRI.

And the seals should soon be glowing at night so that we can shoot them 24 hours a day.
