• The city of Vancouver is looking for people who want to help keep the community safe through the Neighbors on Watch program. Volunteers are trained to act as additional eyes and ears for the police department.

PeaceHealth Regional Cancer Center is looking for volunteers to assist the nursing staff by greeting and escorting patients, answering phone calls, and helping with mailings and clerical projects.

• Volunteer Center seeks information-desk volunteers for morning or afternoon shifts at the Public Service Center.

Silver Buckle Ranch seeks volunteer help with barn and ranch chores, in the office, and as program assistants.

Clark County Food Bank needs drivers and riders, farm and garden workers, food sorters and packers, receptionists, Spanish interpreters and maintenance workers.

Relay for Life of North Clark County is recruiting individuals to start new teams to support the American Cancer Society.

• Volunteers are sought to pull invasive ivy, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 30 at David Douglas Park, 1016 N. Garrison Road, Vancouver, as part of a nationwide Comcast Cares Day event. Volunteers will be shown how to identify native plants, shirts will be provided, and lunch served after the event.

• The city of Vancouver seeks to fill eight positions on its Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. The committee meets four to six times annually and makes recommendations regarding expenditures of the city’s lodging tax revenue, a 4-percent tax on hotel, motel or bed and breakfast stays.
