Letter: Great idea to honor a woman on bill

Published:

I read the April 22 editorial “Choice for $20 on the money” regarding the idea of putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. I think it’s a great idea partially because of the fact that money that does have a woman on it was very popular. Also I like it when there is a new look to a bill or a coin. I think that it would be pretty popular because Tubman is a very important person in our history.

I wish the editorial would have further told us how President Obama responded to the letter from 9-year-old Sofia and how they chose Tubman as opposed to other historical women.
