Bathrooms. Really? Is that the biggest problem facing this country? Sounds like another red herring to distract folks from the real issues as so often happens in election years. (See Pledge of Allegiance in 1988, Whitewater in 1992, Swift boats in 2004, etc., etc.)
I am grateful to Karen Fenton for pointing out the absurdity of this “issue” in her April 23 letter, “By any other name, it’s just a toilet.” Having lived in South Korea, I can tell you that men and women frequently share the same facilities. I could be standing at a urinal and a woman would pass behind me on her way to a stall. It never traumatized me. Life went on.
This is just another ginned-up “controversy” so that the LGBT community will continue to face discrimination.
Let’s focus on real issues in this election year.
