Construction event planned for bike park

Washougal – Washougal will host the first volunteer construction events of the Washougal Bike Park Skills Course at Hamllik Park from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the park, 4285 Addy St., Washougal.

Volunteers are asked to bring a shovel or landscape rake, water and snacks, and to wear sturdy shoes, pants and gloves. Volunteers can bring a bike for test riding.

Each volunteer will be required to sign a waiver, and volunteers younger than 18 must provide a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

The city will provide lunch to those who stay all day. Those interested in lunch should email Suzanne Grover at Suzanne.Grover@cityofwashougal.us.
