A Vancouver man who allegedly robbed a clothing store at gunpoint made a first appearance Thursday in Clark County Superior Court.

Eddie Z. Scott, 19, appeared on suspicion of first-degree robbery in connection with the July 28 incident at CT Fashion in the Maplewood neighborhood.

Court records say he managed to only get $18 and two shirts valued at $9.99 each.

Scott entered the store at 2201 Fairmount Ave., pointed a handgun at the employee and demanded all of the money in the register. The victim said she feared for her life and complied. The suspect then fled the store, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Superior Court.

Police caught up with Scott on Wednesday after he was stopped by Clark County sheriff’s deputies in a stolen vehicle. Scott admitted to robbing the store at gunpoint and fleeing the area, the affidavit states.

During his court appearance, Judge Daniel Stahnke appointed Scott an attorney and set his bail at $100,000, court records show.

He will be arraigned Aug. 18.
