A Vancouver woman and her passenger were injured in a crash when they swerved to avoid a deer, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Guadalupe Carrillo Rosales, 24, was driving a silver 2007 Ford Mustang south on state Highway 141, two miles north of Husum in Klickitat County, at about 3:50 a.m. Monday, according to police.

She swerved to miss a deer and went off the roadway, striking an embankment of a driveway and coming to rest in the southbound ditch, troopers said.

She and her passenger, Ericka Barajas, 23, of White Salmon, were injured and taken to Skyline Hospital. Their conditions were not available.
