Vancouver – Nighttime drivers on East Mill Plain Boulevard between North Garrison Road and Southeast 103rd Avenue in Vancouver should prepare for lane closures and delays next week.

Construction work will be begin at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. nightly from Sunday until the morning of Friday, Aug. 19, to reduce traffic impacts on the busy road.

The work is being done by crews from the city of Vancouver’s Pavement Management Program.

Drivers should watch for flaggers, lane changes and closures. Different routes should be used if possible.

The resurfacing work on East Mill Plain is expected to conclude by the end of this month, but that could change because paving is dependent on weather conditions. The East Mill Plain paving work is being coordinated with a city project to extend sewer lines in an adjacent neighborhood.

More information, including maps and a complete list of streets scheduled for pavement work, is available at www.cityofvancouver.us/pavement.
