SEATTLE (AP) — Authorities say a 16-year-old girl has died after falling from a ladder at a school construction site in Silverdale.
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office says Emily Ramm fell early Saturday and died at a hospital later that night.
Authorities have not said why the girl was at Silverdale Elementary School, which has been undergoing a remodel since July 2015.
The incident remains under investigation.
The teen was a student at North Kitsap High School. The school’s principal, Megan Sawicki, said in an email to parents that counseling would be available at the school for students on Monday.
