A Vancouver man was arrested after police say he pointed a shotgun at a neighbor whose vehicle was blocking traffic at his apartment complex.

The incident started when Christoffer Sepelak, 37, arrived at his residence at the Copperstone VanMall Apartments, 4701 N.E. 72nd Ave. at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Vancouver Police Department Spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

Sepelak became upset with other tenants who were in the process of moving out and had blocked the driveway and walkway area, Kapp said.

Words were exchanged, Kapp said, and then Sepelak went inside his apartment, armed himself with a shotgun and walked downstairs to the parking lot where he confronted the victim, Kapp said.

Standing about one or two feet away from the victim, Sepelak raised the shotgun and pointed it directly at the victim’s head, Kapp said. The victim, whose name was not released, then grabbed the barrel of the shotgun and with several other people wrestled the gun away from Sepelak.

Officers arrived and arrested Sepelak for suspicion of first-degree assault. The shotgun was recovered and found to have been loaded with four live rounds.
