Mountain View — Christina Lundy, a Mountain View High School student, earned a $3,000 scholarship from the Boeing Employees Credit Union Foundation for her Special Olympics Unified Sports program. The program partners athletes with disabilities and athletes without disabilities on sports teams. “After our first soccer and basketball seasons, I saw a change in the way students viewed the students with special needs,” Lundy said in a release from the foundation. “These students now feel accepted, welcomed and loved, and have positively impacted my life, and other students at my school.” She was one 80 students to receive a grant through the foundation, which looked to award students based on their academic performance and passion for helping others through volunteering.
