Vancouver – Andrew Tucker is the new Vancouver community director at Children’s Home Society of Washington. He’ll oversee the nonprofit’s Vancouver Family Resource Center, the East County Family Resource Center in Washougal and the Woodland office.

“I am honored to begin this new role at Children’s Home Society of Washington,” Tucker said in a news release. “I truly believe in the work we are doing for children and their families in Clark and Cowlitz counties, and I am excited about the possibilities for the future.”

Tucker, a licensed mental health counselor, started working at Children’s Home Society in 2011. He’s co-chair of the Southwest Washington Community Behavioral Health Provider Alliance.

Cathy Garland, who used to be the Vancouver community director, became the nonprofit’s statewide signature services director for Early Learning and Family Support.

Children’s Home Society of Washington’s mission is to “develop healthy children, create strong families, build engaged communities, and speak and advocate for children.” Visit www.childrenshomesociety.org/clarkcowlitz for more information.
