Vancouver – The Vancouver-based nonprofit Hough Foundation hired Megan Vaughn as its administrative assistant.

Vaughn, who earned a degree in communication from Washington State University, previously worked at the Vancouver Business Journal and Second Step Housing. Vaughn received an Accomplished & Under 40 award in 2012 and graduated from Leadership Clark County. She’s also been on the board of directors for YWCA Clark County.

In addition to working at the Hough Foundation, she’s a customer service agent for Alaska Airlines at Portland International Airport. She lives in the Hough neighborhood — the area that the nonprofit supports.

Since 1992, the Hough Foundation has helped elementary school students in Hough with “basic needs and opportunities for scholastic, physical and social growth,” according to its website. Its annual fundraiser, the Hough Hoedown, takes place Feb. 4 at Warehouse ’23.
