Letter: Help Ridgefield schools excel

By Scott Gullickson, RIDGEFIELD
Published: December 27, 2016, 6:00am

High-functioning school districts are a cornerstone of vibrant communities and Ridgefield is a perfect example of this. Student test scores are continually among the best in all of Clark County and sustaining this pattern is imperative. Investing in our schools helps ensure that all children in our community receive a quality education that provides them a foundation for a lifetime of success.

Ridgefield is a special place and our community is growing because many people realize it has great things to offer. Due to the growth, the need for additional classrooms is real. We must continue to provide our students every opportunity to excel. By providing the appropriate facilities, we support both teachers and instruction, resulting in successful and engaged students.

This bond is fiscally responsible and addresses current needs, not wants. A strong school district benefits everyone and by standing together to support our youth in education through this bond measure, we will keep Ridgefield a great place to learn and live. Each “yes” vote is crucial to the future of our schools and, in turn, the future of our community.

Please stand with me and support our children and Ridgefield schools by voting “yes.”
