Letter: Bond will address Ridgefield growth

Ridgefield is a unique, small town with a strong, involved community and excellent schools. As wonderful as the town is, I moved here for the schools in 2004. Twelve years later, I am both a teacher and a parent at Ridgefield School District. I strongly support the school bond and see it as a critical step in maintaining excellence in Ridgefield schools.

Ridgefield has seen incredible growth and is identified as “the fastest growing city in Washington.” This growth has affected every student in the district with overcrowded classrooms which limit student opportunities. Adjustments have been made to accommodate current enrollment but we are running out of options. Passing the bond will increase classroom space, improve technology and increase safety. Every student will benefit.

Please join me in voting “yes” for the school bond.
