Bagley Downs — The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has been busy lately. Jan Redding was named to the Clinic’s board of the directors, where she served as a member from 2000-2003. Redding has also been with Vancouver Public Schools for 21 years, most of the time spent as assistant director of the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools. The Clinic also received a $40,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente Northwest and Providence Health and Services for its Diabetes Coordinated Care Program and will partner with Battle Ground Health Care and the Healthy Living Collaborative of Southwest Washington to create a “patient-centered, community-focused approach to improve outcomes for diabetic patients,” according to a release from the clinic. The Schwab Charitable Foundation also donated $7,500 to the Clinic, which will help cover costs associated with radiology services, such as X-rays and ultrasounds. The Clinic partners with community radiologists, who read the X-rays and ultrasounds.
