Girls basketball: Columbia River 57, Fort Vancouver 25

Sophomore Katie Kolbe came off the bench to contribute six points and 12 rebounds as the Chieftains moved into a sole possesion of second place in the 3A Greater St. Helens League.

If River beats Kelso on Friday at home, the Chieftains will lock up second place in the league. If Kelso wins, the two teams will meet again Saturday at Fort Vancouver in a second-place tiebreaker.

River outrebound Fort 42-22. The Chieftains were led by 11 points by Teaghan Cowles and 10 from Emma Fisk. Devyn Tilley and Sydney Brugman had seven each for Fort.
