Clark College instructor to discuss intelligent machines

Clark College mechatronics instructor Ken Luchini will discuss the science of intelligent machines at noon Friday in Anna Pechanec Hall, Room 201, on campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.

Luchini will discuss machines that build things for us and make business more efficient. The free, public event is part of Clark’s STEM seminar series that cover interesting science-related topics. Bring a brown bag lunch. Dessert will be provided.

Other upcoming STEM seminars are:

• Feb. 19: Real Life Monkey Business. Rob Schubert will share his experiences living with and observing monkeys in several countries.

• Feb. 26: Fascinating Fermentation. Jared Englund, owner of Lion Heart Kombucha, will share details of the brewing and fermentation process and the science behind probiotics of kombucha — along with samples to taste.
