Shawn Morgan took a pass from Quentin Raynor and scored with eight seconds left to lift Bay to a key 2A Greater St. Helens League win.

The win clinches a berth into next week’s district tournament for the Eagles.

If Washougal beats Ridgefield on Tuesday, Hudson’s Bay will earn the No. 4 seed to district.

If Ridgefield wins, Bay and Ridgefield will play a tiebreaker game to determine which team will be the No. 4 seed and which will be the No. 5 seed. The No. 5 seed must play a pigtail game to enter the double-elimination portion of the districct tournament.

After Hockinson took the early lead, Bay pushed its advantage to 11 in the second quarter.

But Ry Paulsen, who had a game-high 26 points, hit 6 of his 8 3-pointers in the second half, including four in the third quarter as the Hawks rallied.

Guards Raynor and Quadrese Teague led Bay. Teague had 22 points and nine rebounds, and Raynor had 22 points and eight rebounds.
