Letter: Encourage renewal of bridge talks

By G.E. Gadbury, Vancouver

Rep. Liz Pike, R-Camas, and Rep. Sharon Wylie, D-Vancouver, need our support for launching talks for a new Interstate 5 Bridge. It is time to set aside hurt egos, feelings and distrust. The populations of Clark and Multnomah, Ore., counties need an infrastructure adjustment, and the I-5 corridor is the most important roadway between Seattle and San Diego. A new bridge will facilitate commerce, provide safer travel and will encourage tourism to downtown Vancouver.
