Evergreen guidance counselors honored for supporting college readiness

Landover-Sharmel– Guidance counselors at four Evergreen School District high schools were recognized for their commitment to supporting students in college and career preparedness.

Evergreen High School, Heritage High School, Mountain View High School and Union High School were all recognized with The Career Guidance Award of Excellence.

This award, from the Office of Superintendent Public Instruction acknowledges public middle and high schools that demonstrate outstanding high standards for development of school-wide college and career readiness.

“This award is specifically connected to supporting students in postsecondary plans utilizing Career Guidance WA as a part of the school’s comprehensive guidance and counseling program,” the OSPI said in a press release. “These award-winning schools maintain the highest standards for development of the student High School & Beyond Plan. Their goal is every student ready for career, college, and life.”
