Hockinson scored 30 points in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough to catch Mark Morris.

Garrett Berger scored 19 points and Nick Rinck added 18 as the Monarchs (7-3, 2-1) snatched a 2A Greater St. Helens League road win.

Ry Paulsen scored 16 points and Kinai Kiyokawa had 14 for Hockinson (5-6, 0-3).

Mark Morris led 51-31 after three quarters. Behind four 3-pointers, Hockinson scored 30 points in the final quarter but couldn’t pull within striking distance.

“We had too many turnovers,” Hockinson coach Manny Melo said. “They scored on transition and made us pay for our mistakes.”
