Clark County — Answers about your favorite historical sites are just a tap away with the release of a new Clark County app.

Historic Clark County, developed by the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission, uses your smartphone’s location services to list nearby official historic register buildings. Visitors can tap on each site to find information about each site, including photos, the year it was designated a historic site and hours of operations.

“This app can help you discover Clark County’s rich cultural heritage and its breathtaking natural beauty,” the county announced in a news release.

The free app is available for download through the Google Play store or the Apple App store. The Washington Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation, city of Vancouver and Clark County provided funding for the app.
