Find a new treasure or just a bit of nostalgia at this weekend’s Clark County Antique and Collectible Show. The annual show returns with more than 400 vendor booths filled with estate jewelry, vintage home goods, period furniture, pop culture memorabilia and a myriad of old treasures. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield. Admission is $6. christinepalmer.net

Hockinson High School senior Matthew Phillips has written an original murder mystery for the stage, directed by Phillips and fellow senior Anna Uusitalo. “Always Blame the Butler” is set at an internationally renowned academy for butlers. Three students face their most intense assignment: Host seven famous and eccentric guests selected by the head instructor. Things take a turn for the worst when one of the guests ends up murdered in this comedic thriller. The Beacock Music Swing Band will perform a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at Union High School, 6201 N.W. Friberg-Strunk St., Camas, for the Union High School Band, which was selected to perform at the Music For All National Festival in Indianapolis. There will be an opening performance by the high school jazz ensemble. The Beacock Music Swing Band features professional and semi-professional musicians performing big band pieces from the 1920s to 1950s. The 54th annual Clark College Jazz Festival will feature 60 middle and high school jazz ensembles from Washington and Oregon competing for the top spots in each division. The festival runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 28 and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 29-30, with finals competitions beginning at 4 p.m. Jan. 28 and 7 p.m. Jan. 29-30 at Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. The Vancouver Watersheds Alliance returns with the Environmental Film Series at 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 26. This month’s film will be “The True Cost,” which examines the global impact of the fashion industry. Community members can see a different film on an environmental subject every fourth Tuesday of the month, complete with free pizza and discussion at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St., Vancouver. A day of family football and fun are in store at Ridgefield First Saturday: Tailgate Party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at Ridgefield Overlook Park, Pioneer Street and Main Avenue, Ridgefield. There will be a punt, pass and kick contest, live “halftime” music, an outdoor beer garden, a nacho cooking demonstrations and flag football games for all ages. Cooks can take part in the community chili challenge at noon, with the best pot of chili winning prizes and bragging rights. Participants are encouraged to wear a favorite football jersey. Annual Father Daughter Valentine’s Ball will be 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Pearson Air Museum’s historic hanger, 1115 E. Fifth St., Vancouver. Fathers and daughters of all ages can dance the evening away at the annual ball, featuring music, balloon artists and professional photos. Groove Nation Dance Academy will provide ballroom and hip-hop dance lessons.
