Boys basketball: Woodland 50, Ridgefield 36

The host Beavers hit four 3-pointers in th fourth quarter to separate from the Spudders in the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League contest. Woodland outscored Ridgefield 20-11 in the fourth quarter.

Tyler Flanagan hit two fourth-quarter 3-pointers and Hayden Huddleston scored all six of his points in the fourth quarter for Woodland (9-6, 4-3).

Woodland coach Jason Buffum said his team did a nice job sharing the ball in the fourth quarter.

“We made the extra pass and were able to find guys wide open,” Buffum said.

Tyler Flangan finished with 15 points, while Bryce Mulder and Tanner Sixberry each tallied 13 for the Beavers,

Louden Wardius led Ridgefield (6-8, 3-4) with 18 points.

Buffum noted that his team did a nice job defending Ridgefield’s Travis Gottsch, who finished with two points.

“Tyler Flanagan played good defense and it was a good team effort” making Gottsch take difficult shots, Buffum said.
