Girls basketball: La Center 51, Battle Ground 39

The Wildcats improved to 14-1 with this non-league win over a Class 4A program.

Taylor Mills scored 14 points and Taylor Stephens had 11 points, eight rebounds, and five steals for the Wildcats.

La Center trailed by two after the first quarter but scored 26 second-quarter points to take command.

Ashley Denney had six points, five assists, and five steals. Andrea Griffee ended up with eight points, four steals and four assists for the Wildcats.

Grace Russell and Kyle Smith each had 10 points to pace Battle Ground.
