Girls basketball: Camas 52, Battle Ground 38

Behind a dominant first quarter, the Camas Papermakers held on for a 52-38 home win over Battle Ground.

Teague Schroeder and Courtney Clemmer shared in the scoring lead for the Papermakers but they had three other players with seven points or more.

After falling behind 25-6, Battle Ground got back into the game, mostly thanks to their 3-point shooting.

Kylie Smith had 17 points and Morgan Stradley had 12 points, all coming from beyond the 3-point line.

With the win, Camas improves to 8-1 in league play and 14-2 overall.
