A Subway restaurant in Vancouver’s North Garrison Heights neighborhood was robbed Monday night.

Officers were called to the Subway, 8084 E. Mill Plain Blvd., at about 9:30 p.m. for a report of a man who had displayed a weapon and robbed the restaurant of an undisclosed amount of cash, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Officers searched the area with help from a police K-9, but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black man with a large build wearing a scarf over his face, Kapp said. The agency also provided a photo of the suspect from surveillance footage.

Anyone who has information about the incident or who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Vancouver police at 360-487-7400.
