A search for a non-speaking autistic teenager has ended successfully, with the boy safely reunited with his family.

Edward W. Hawk, 16, was last seen at his home, in the 11400 block of Northeast Ninth Street at about 9:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Hawk’s family went to check him in his room at 11:30 p.m. and discovered he was missing, police said.

Hawk has a history of wandering off, police said. He was located this morning.
